Before your appointment we send you a letter setting out my fees and cancellation terms, which I am required by law to provide. We do ask that you read it, and share any relevant test results or correspondence from other healthcare providers before your appointment, as this helps ensure a safe and efficient consultation.

Insurers

I am fee-assured with all major UK insurers except AXA, so there is no shortfall for you to pay. This list is not exhaustive. If yours is not shown, call us and we will check your cover.

For Bupa International and embassy-funded patients, payment is required before your appointment; you can then reclaim the fees directly from your insurer or sponsor.

Regarding AXA

After careful consideration, I am no longer fee-assured with AXA. I stopped accepting new AXA-insured patients in December 2025, and the arrangement ended in April 2026. Patients who had already started treatment are completing their care as planned. If you are insured with AXA and would like to be seen, call the practice and we will talk through the options with you.

NHS referral

Through NHS Patient Choice, your GP can refer you to see me at an NHS hospital of your preference, regardless of where you live.

My NHS practice is at Wythenshawe Hospital, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, and I hold an honorary consultant position at The Christie. For anything private, the practice is on 0161 726 5100.
